Name:
June Darby

From:
Transformers Prime

Appearance:

Look at this adorable face

Age:
Adult. Old enough to have a 16 year old son.

Gender:
Female

Personality:
The best way to describe June is that she cares. A lot. So much so that it comes to no surprise that her occupation is that of a nurse. She will always speak up when she feels like something isn't safe or too dangerous and isn't afraid to speak up when she feels something's wrong. That's right. Even to giant robots.

Ever since since her husband left her, June's been taking care of her teenage son by herself. She's stated that they've always been really close, and this incident made them closer. Unfortunately to the point where she can get a little annoying about it. She can't help it, though, can anyone really blame her?

Because, yeah, she's a little aware of her son and his involvement with the Cybertronians. It didn't seem to take her long to adjust to them, June treats Cybertronians just like she treats people. Just because they're giant robots, doesn't mean she has to put up with their nonsense. That isn't to say that she's always nagging them, keep in mind. In fact, in the beginning of the Metal Attraction episode, she was very sweet, greeting the Autobots like they were all good friends. It's just that the kids keep finding their way into the Autobots' more dicier missions and she just has to put her foot down.

That isn't to say that she isn't afraid of the more dangerous Decepticons. She's not dumb, she knows very well to stay away from them and the idea of them being near any of the children really sets her off. Unfortunately when you're small and they're huge, there's not much you can do but go hide somewhere else.

Considering the other children, June acts like some sort of pseudo-mom and cares just as much for their well-being whether they like it or not. It's usually 'not', and June might possibly be aware of it since Miko doesn't exactly hide her disdain for June being around, but chooses to ignore it. She still speaks to her in a kind, friendly manner and really seems like she wants to be involved in her life. This isn't drawing the line there, though, and chances are June's willing to participate helping out in any other young person's life given her caring attitude.

At the same time, she doesn't take anyone's crap and has no problem lecturing people when she feels like they did (or are doing) something wrong. If you somehow find a way to make her angry, she'll let you know. Like I mentioned earlier, just because someone is a giant robot (or anything else, for that matter) doesn't make them above being a decent person...er, or thing. Being?

...You get my point.

Backstory:
June's story doesn't start at the beginning of the series like everyone else. Raising her teenage son by herself after her husband left her, June was completely unaware that said son was hanging around a bunch of giant alien robots. No, the suspicious motorcycle he brought home one day was thought to be something he saved up for. Like most normal people, an alien war was the last thing on her mind.

Then things started getting sour. June began getting calls from school that Jack's grades were slipping. Figuring it had something to do with the motorcycle, she grounded him from it in hopes that it'll improve his grades. Instead, what she got was a sneaky Jack and she was beginning to suspect her son may have fallen into the 'wrong crowd'.

Long story short, she ended up being kidnapped.

...Wait, what?

Turns out the terrorist group, MECH, teamed up with Airachnid, an enemy Cybertronian. Both knowing of Jack and his involvement with the Autobots, they decided to kidnap his mother and use that against him. As you can imagine, this was quite the eyeopener for June, seeing her son involved in something so dangerous. But, surprisingly, Jack was able to save his mother with the aid of his Autobot guardian, Arcee. You know, the motorcycle June grounded Jack from.

This marked June's involvement with the war. Which, to be honest, isn't a whole lot. She seems pretty accepting of the giant robots, although at first she would stop by a lot to make sure everything was okay. After a disagreement with Arcee, she learns to give them a little more room and only shows up during emergencies.

Moral Standing:

Good

Dreams:
June's main focus is to have her son grow up to be a responsible young man. And alive. A responsible, alive, young man. If she can do that, then she knows she did a good job.

Fears:
Please don't kill her babbies. She is also a very normal human being, so although she can handle and even stand up to unearthly people, the more intimidating ones do, well...intimidate her.

Extra:
June is a nurse and therefore has a good amount of medical knowledge on her. I, however, do not. I'll do my best to research, but you'll have to bear with me.
